Since I never have time to think of my Friday things anymore, I figured I'd do the Good, Bad and Ugly linkup to fill you all in on what I've been doing.
First, the Good.
So many good things. I've got one week of the new job under my belt and so far, I'm loving it. My new co-workers seem great, the job is going to be amazing (once I actually start working), and the company is one I can be proud of. I'm also loving being back home in general - being able to see my family (and yes, of course, my boyfriend) on a regular basis is something that can't be measured. It's amazing.
Next, the Bad.
I haven't even started my Christmas shopping. Now that there's actually snow on the ground (add the whole "having to shovel" thing to the bad list), I feel like it's actually Christmas and I need to hurry up and get organized. Hopefully I'll get some things done next week.
Last, the Ugly.
My townhome is a disaster zone. Every time I take 3 steps forward in terms of unpacking, it gets a little messier with packing paper, flattened boxes, and balls of tape everywhere. Plus, there's a giant red wall in my living room that needs to be painted ASAP. Red walls are definitely not my thing and it makes me all nervous and angry.
That's it. Nothing too exciting going on around here. Just trying to get settled in and get through the holidays so I can figure out what my routine will be.
Good luck with unpacking, painting, and settling in... all during the holidays!
ReplyDeleteYou might have to keep repeating... "It's gonna look worse before it looks better!"... constantly!
I hate red walls, too! Best of luck getting Christmas shopping done in the next two weeks ;)
ReplyDeleteGood luck unpacking and shopping will trying to prepare for Christmas.. sounds like you have your work cut out lol! However, I am sure it will all work out! I am over from the GBU Link-up :) Happy Holidays!

ugh, the worst part about read walls is that they're SO hard to cover. Even with the primer/paint combo they need like a thousand coats. Good luck. Are you going back to your gray palette?
ReplyDeleteProbably. At least, that's the plan. I'm waiting until after the holidays. I figured I could use the red wall as "holiday decor" in the meantime. Or something like that.
DeleteI'm so glad that you're loving your new job! There's nothing worse than being in a job you hate!
ReplyDeleteAnd my solution for Christmas shopping this year was ONLINE! What's better than browsing in your PJ's with a glass of wine by your side? :)
So glad you love your job - that's such a great feeling! And Kate's got a great solution for Christmas shopping, geez, why didn't I think of that sooner?!?
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
